The purpose of a members’ event, held on 13 December 2011, was to build trust and relationships across all members by building a common understanding about how the consortium is currently working and how we envisage all the functions required at the Governance and Hub level, will operate. Launch Event - 14 October 2011
The consortium became incorporated as company limited by guarantee in September 2011 following a series of consortium working group meetings which commenced in April 2011. Over 60 organisations attended the launch event of Greater Together held on 14 October 2011 at which the Prospectus and Membership Application process was presented. Find Out More
Collaborative working
Following a presentation by Young Lancashire (a local infrastructure organisation) to leaders and contacts from across the voluntary, community and faith sector across Lancashire in March 2011, a working group became established; mandated by the sector with Terms of Reference to "develop an appropriate model of consortium working" on behalf of the sector. Targeted Youth Support Service
Greater Together secured a two year contract from Lancashire County Council for the provision of Targeted Youth Support and Youth Services in 2012. The contract involves 34 members working across the county offering a wide range of specialist and open access provision to young people aged 13-19, with identified needs.   Find Out More
The Art of Co-design and Co-production
Working with commissioners providers and potential providers, Greater Together has facilitated a series of workshops to learn more about co-design with commissioners. Supported by a grant from The Social Investment Business this project will produce a Co-design Tool Kit which will be available for others to use. Find Out More
Greater Together submitted a tender on behalf of 24 of its members to provide early support services in July 2013. The tender was successful and the consortium received notice in August that it had secured a place on Lancashire's Early Support Core Offer Framework Agreement. Find Out More
New website launched October 2013
Greater Together's website was launched in October 2013. The website contains a host of information for commissioners and other interested parties. Organisations which meet the membership eligibility criteria and are interested in becoming members can apply online direct from the website. Find Out More
